Joey on Newbury, Boston

Closed

Open

Have you ever been thinking about someone and there they appear? My sister and I were strolling down Newbury Street, and I thought, it'd be so good to see Joey (as I knew him in High School). I kept the thought to myself, but said to my sister instead, "keep your eye open for some fabulously dressed people." I then turn my head to look at the Calypso window and see this guy standing on the steps. I say to my sis, "Ooh, I love what he's wearing!" Of course, it turns out to be Joey.

Joey aka, mon amour, (we were in French class together), works at Riccardi's. If you haven't been, go! Their clothes are awesome (be sure to go upstairs). I had a religious experience earlier this year when Joey gave me a tour of the spring collections.

By the by, Joey's jacket is Comme des Garcons.

I'm not sure about how much of a discount they make - but, I hear that they don't make any commission from their sales :( I hope the discount is worth it!

Riccardi's does have some fab stuff! And the staff are sooo nice and helpful and unsnobbish and fun. Every time I went in there I died a little inside looking at beautiful things that were oh-so-pricey... like butter-soft leather jackets... *sigh*

I love that he looks totally happy in what he's wearing, that's always key in looking good ;)
